Victoria Miller

Born in 1986 in Bradenton, FL, Victoria Miller was adopted by Mike and Georgia Miller who raised her in the small town of Venice, FL. In 2004 Victoria Miller attended the University of South Florida where her father had graduated college and received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. While attending college, with the support of her parents, Victoria was able to travel internationally as an artist to Paris, France and Venice, Italy where she studied different cultures and art. Attending the Venice Biennale held in Venice, Italy, Victoria had the chance to view the world and different culture’s art making in a very dynamic manner.

Victoria had her BFA show at the West Tampa Center for the Arts in 2009. Working through pre-adoption drug abuse from her birth parents, she created a series of oil paintings that permitted art-therapy for her and similar feedback from viewers. Victoria tried to understand how birth parents could choose drug addiction over the love and welfare of their own children, and was very successful in her self- therapy through art.
In 2009 Victoria moved back to Venice, FL where she has started to combined pattern and extreme detail with human form to transform banal images that the media feeds us daily into works of art.
Victoria has a goal in 2011 to open up a Gallery on Miami Avenue, and her main goal is to provide an edgy gallery where students and young artist can show case their work; she strives to join a community that is older in majority with younger artist who want to be more involved in the arts.
